- It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Recombinant Human Interleukin-6 (IL-6) in sterile 18 M-omega-cm H2O not less than 100 myg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Quantitation Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm using the absorbency value of 0.47 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1 mg/ml) solution. This value is calculated by the PC GENE computer analysis program of protein sequences (IntelliGenetics).2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of Interleukin-6 (IL-6) as a Reference Standard.

- Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional protein originally discovered in the media of cells stimulated with double stranded RNA. Interleukin-6 (IL-6) induces multiple effects, as indicated by its numerous synonyms: plasmacytoma growth factor, interferon-beta-2, monocyte derived human B cell growth factor, B cell stimulating factor, hepatocyte stimulating factor, Interleukin Hybridoma/Plasmacytoma-1. Human Interleukin-6 (IL-6) produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 185 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 21,000 Da. The Recombinant Human Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Synonym: rHuIL-6, rHuIL6, Interleukin-6, Interleukin. Formulation: The protein was lyophilized after extensive dialysis against 20mM HAc-NaAc, pH5.0, 150mM NaAc buffer.
