Peptide ELISA: Limit Dilution: 1/2000. Western blot: 0.3-1 μg/mL. Experiments gave bands at approx 20 kDa and 20 kDa in HumanTestis lysates. These bands correspond to earlier findings in literature with differentantibodies (Ref.2).
Other applications not tested.

- 背景
- Niemann-Pick C2 (NPC2) is a 22 kDa soluble lysosomal glycoprotein important for cholesterol and sphingolipid transport in the lysosome. This protein was initially identified as the second Niemann-Pick type C (NPC) gene based on its ability to bind the mannose-6 phosphate receptor. NPC disease is an autosomal recessively inherited neurodegenerative lysosomal storage disease and its associated with abnormal cholesterol accumulation in cells. Mutations in the NPC2 gene cause 5 % of the cases, the rest and majority being caused by NPC1 mutations.Synonyms: Epididymal secretory protein E1
