纯化方法
- MEK1 is a recombinant protein containing a polyhistidine tag expressed in Sf9. Analysis by SDS-PAGE resulted in a pattern consistent with purified MEK1 and was estimated to be greater than 90% pure.

Application Note: Human MEK1 recombinant protein has been tested in SDS-Page and is suitable as a control for polyclonal or monoclonal anti-MEK1 in immunological assays. For western blot use at 50 ng or less. For other assays concentration is user optimized. For a phosphorylated form of the protein co-expressed with constitutively active B-raf (V600E) see (p/n 009-001-GP5) MEK1 pS218-pS222.

Synonyms: MAP2K, MEK, MEK1, MKK1, PRKMK1, MEK-1 recombinant protein
Background: MEK1 recombinant protein was produced in Sf9 cells. Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 1, also known as MKK or MEK, is an integral component of the MAP kinase cascade that regulates cell growth and differentiation. This pathway also plays a key role in synaptic plasticity in the brain. Activated MEK 1 acts as a dual specificity kinase phosphorylating both a threonine and a tyrosine residue on MAP kinase. MEK1 and MEK2 are about 80 % identical to each other, and nearly identical within the kinase domain. Recombinant MEK1 protein is ideal for investigators involved in Neuroscience, Cell Signaling and Cancer Research.
