This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-TRPC7 Antibody. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.
TRPC7 is thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. TRPC7 probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. It is activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) and may also be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion.
