ELISA: This antibody has been used as a solution phase antibody at 2 μg/mL in a two site ELISAwith unconjugated TNFalpha antibody (Cat. No. ABIN264365). Typically the ELISA has aworking range of 0-10000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 10 pg/mL with the appropriatestandard. Recommended sample volumes are 25-200 μL. Recovery of human TNFa in human serum is typically >85 % in the ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. -

- Cytokine that binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR. It is mainly secreted by macrophages and can induce cell death of certain tumor cell lines. It is potent pyrogen causing fever by direct action or by stimulation of interleukin-1 secretion and is implicated in the induction of cachexia, Under certain conditions it can stimulate cell proliferation and induce cell differentiation.Synonyms: Cachectin, TNF, TNF-a, TNFA, TNFSF2, Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 2
