背景
- Background: Mutations in CDK5RAP2 (CDK5 regulatory subunit-associated protein 2) have been linked to microcephaly. CDK5RAP2 may be involved in centrosome directed production of microtubules and mitotic spindle formation during neural cell division. CDK5RAP2 associates with the activating subunit of Cdk5, p25NCK5A. Cdk5 is a brain specific cyclin-dependent kinase important to mammalian brain development.
