Protein Background: ErbB3 (Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-3) is a tyrosine-protein kinase that plays an essential role as cell surface receptor for neuregulins. Binds to neuregulin-1 (NRG1) and is activated by it, ligand-binding increases phosphorylation on tyrosine residues and promotes its association with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. May also be activated by CSPG5. Involved in the regulation of myeloid cell differentiation.
Short Description: Recombinant ErbB3 / HER3 (665-1342) protein that includes amino acids 665-1342 of human ErbB3 protein (accession number NP_001973.2) was expressed in a baculovirus expression system and contains an N-terminal FLAG tag. The molecular weight of the protein is 76.52 kDa.
