GRHL3 (Grainyhead-like protein 3 homolog) may function as a transcription factor. GRHL3 is a homodimer, it also forms heterodimers with GRHL1 and GRHL2. GRHL3 is expressed in brain, colon, pancreas, placenta and kidney. Isoform 1 is expressed in lung and tonsil. Isoform 2 is prostate-specific. GRHL3 belongs to the grh/CP2 family and Grainyhead subfamily.
