Background: Predicted to enable several functions, including Hsp70 protein binding activity, peptidoglycan binding activity, and peptidoglycan immune receptor activity. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including negative regulation of inflammatory response, negative regulation of natural killer cell differentiation involved in immune response, and negative regulation of type II interferon production. Predicted to be located in cytoplasm. Predicted to be active in extracellular space. Is expressed in alimentary system, craniocervical region bone, genitourinary system, liver, and respiratory system. Orthologous to human PGLYRP1 (peptidoglycan recognition protein 1).
