背景
- Background: Protein arginine methylation is a form of post-translational modification that is catalyzed by protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs). PRMT5 interacts with the SWI/SNF complexes and methylates histones H3 and H4. This finding suggests that PRMT5 is involved in the structural modification of chromatin and the regulation of gene transcription.
