Ube2h accepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. In vitro, it catalyzes 'Lys-11'- and 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitination. Capable, in vitro, to ubiquitinate histone H2A.
