背景
- MUC-13 is an epithelial and hematopoietic transmembrane mucin that is highly expressed in epithelial tissues, especially in the GI and respiratory tracts. It has moderate to high levels of expression in the kidneys, small intestine, appendix, and stomach. MUC-13 mediates various signaling pathways and may be a potential target for antibody-mediated cancer treatment.
