状态
Lyophilized
溶解方式
Reconstitute with 500 µL of 50 % glycerol in deionized water. We recommend including 0.1 % sodium azide as a preservative if applicable. When reconstituted with 500 µl, the concentration of single-domain antibody is 2.5 µM
缓冲液
The single sdAb clone was lyophilized from PBS pH 7.4.
储存条件
-20 °C/-80 °C
储存方法
Vials containing lyophilized protein can be stored at 4 °C for 6 months. We recommend reconstituting the protein with 50 % sterile glycerol including 0.1 % sodium azide as preservative if applicable. Minimize the number of freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting the reconstituted protein. Long term storage at -80 °C for up to 6 months. Working aliquots can be stored at -20 °C for up to 4 weeks. We do not recommend storing the reconstituted protein at 4 °C.
Like many other mammals, the immune repertoire of rabbits consists of several immunoglobulin (Ig) isotypes (IgA, IgG, IgE, and IgM). However, compared to other species, rabbits possess only one type of IgG carrying either a lambda or kappa light chain. Historically, rabbit antibodies have been a rich source of polyclonal antibodies, which were employed in various fields of life sciences. They are used either directly from animal sera, or as affinity-purified reagents. In addition, advances in antibody engineering over the last decade enabled the generation of monoclonal rabbit antibodies. Independent of its clonality and irrespectively of its VH domain, our alpaca-derived single domain antibody (sdAb, or nanobody) binds the constant domain (Fc) of any rabbit IgG, specifically and strongly, which makes this secondary tool ideal for demanding imaging applications.
