Protein Background: TOP2B (DNA topoisomerase 2-beta ) is key decatenating enzyme that alters DNA topology by binding to two double-stranded DNA molecules, generating a double-stranded break in one of the strands, passing the intact strand through the broken strand, and religating the broken strand. Plays a role in B-cell differentiation.
Short Description: Recombinant TOP2B protein was expressed in a baculovirus expression system as the full length protein (accession number NP_001059.2) with an N-terminal FLAG tag. The molecular weight of TOP2B is 183.93 kDa.
