Protein Background: CHD6 is a DNA-dependent ATPase that plays a role in chromatin remodeling. Regulates transcription by disrupting nucleosomes in a largely non-sliding manner which strongly increases the accessibility of chromatin. Activates transcription of specific genes in response to oxidative stress through interaction with NFE2L2. Activates transcription of specific genes in response to oxidative stress through interaction with NFE2L2.
Short Description: Recombinant CHD6 (288-959) protein that includes amino acids 288-959 of human CHD6 protein (accession number NP_115597.3) was expressed in a baculovirus expression system and contains an N-terminal FLAG Tag. The molecular weight of the protein is 79.55 kDa.
