Protein Background: CTCF (Transcriptional repressor CTCF) is a chromatin binding factor that binds to DNA sequence specific sites and regulates the 3D structure of chromatin. Implicated in diverse regulatory functions, including transcriptional activation/repression, insulation, imprinting, and X chromosome inactivation.
Short Description: Recombinant CTCF protein was expressed in a baculovirus expression system as the full length protein (accession number NP_006556.1) with an N-terminal FLAG tag. The molecular weight of CTCF is 84.06 kDa.
