- Centrifuge the vial at 10,000 x g for 5 minutes before opening to ensure all material is collected at the bottom. The lyophilized product may be difficult to visualize. Carefully add the solvent directly to the vial interior. Dissolve the material by gently tapping, tilting, or rolling the vial. Avoid vigorous vortexing, a brief, gentle vortex of 1-2 seconds may be used if necessary to achieve complete dissolution. Reconstitute in sterile, high-purity water or a conventional buffer (e.g., 0.1 M sodium chloride and 5 % trehalose at pH 7.0). Aliquot the reconstituted solution and store at -20 °C to -80 °C to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles and maintain optimal biological activity.
