A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of CSHL1 antibody, Alternative Names: CSHL1 control peptide, CSHL1 antibody Blocking Peptide, Anti-CSHL1 Blocking Peptide, Chorionic Somatomammotropin Hormone-Like 1 Blocking Peptide, CS-5 Blocking Peptide, CSHP1 Blocking Peptide, CSL Blocking Peptide, MGC149868 Blocking Peptide, hCS-L Blocking Peptide
CSHL1 is a member of the somatotropin/prolactin family of hormones which play an important role in growth control. This particular family member is expressed in placental villi, although it was originally thought to be a pseudogene. In fact, alternative splicing suggests that the majority of the transcripts would be unable to express a secreted protein.
