Background Information: FMO3 is involved in the oxidative metabolism of a variety of xenobiotics such as drugs and pesticides. It N-oxygenates primary aliphatic alkylamines as well as secondary and tertiary amines. It acts on TMA to produce TMA-N-oxide.
