- BSA Blocking Solution is a critical reagent in gold conjugations. It is utilized to block gold nanoparticle surfaces following the conjugation reaction between an antibody or antigen and the gold. The BSA Blocking solution is utilized at a 1:10 ratio with the Naked Gold sols. 1 mL of BSA Blocking Solution is sufficient to block approximately 10 mL of gold sol, following conjugation.
