Background: Predicted to enable GTPase activity, SNARE binding activity, and molecular adaptor activity. Predicted to be involved in several processes, including regulation of SNARE complex assembly, regulation of intracellular protein transport, and regulation of protein stability. Located in myelin sheath. Part of septin complex. Is expressed in dermis, spinal cord ventricular layer, turbinate bone primordium, and ventral grey horn. Orthologous to human Septin8 (septin 8).
