- Predicted to enable succinate-CoA ligase (ADP-forming) activity and succinate-CoA ligase (GDP-forming) activity. Predicted to be involved in tricarboxylic acid cycle. Predicted to be part of succinate-CoA ligase complex (ADP-forming). Predicted to be active in mitochondrion. Is expressed in several structures, including adaxial cell, alar plate midbrain region, digestive system, musculature system, and solid lens vesicle. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome 9. Orthologous to human SUCLG1 (succinate-CoA ligase GDP/ADP-forming subunit alpha).
