Background: CSD1 (Cu/Zn Superoxide dismutase) is a cytosolic enzyme, that can detoxify superoxide radicals. The enzyme is regulated by biotic and abiotic stress. Its activation in the cytoplasm involves both a CCS-dependent and -independent pathway. Alternative name: Superoxide dismutase [Cu-Zn] 1
