The elongator complex catalyzes formation of carboxy methyluridine in the wobble base at position 34 in tRNAs. Diseases associated with ELP4 include Aniridia 2 and Coloboma of Optic Nerve. Among its related pathways are Mesodermal Commitment Pathway and Chromatin organization.
