背景
- Background: basonuclin 2 (BNC2) is a conserved zinc finger protein. BNC2 functions in skin color saturation. Mutations in this gene are associated with facial pigmented spots. The gene is also associated with susceptibility to adolescent idiopathic scoliosis [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 54796)].
