- Background: Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 T (UBE2T) is an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme that is part of the three-step pathway responsible for the covalent attachment of ubiquitin to proteins for their targeted degradation. UBET2 in conjuction with the Fanconi anemia (FA) complex is responsible for the DNA damage-induced monoubiquitination of the FANCD2 protein of the Fanconi Anemia pathway.
