背景

Background: CPNE3 encodes the calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein, Copine-3. Calcium-dependent membrane-binding proteins may regulate molecular events at the interface of the cell membrane and cytoplasm. The A domain-like sequence in the carboxy-terminus mediates interactions between integrins and extracellular ligands [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 8895)].
