背景
- Background: CAP-G2 is a subunit of the heteropentameric condensin II complex. Condensin participates in the condensation of chromosomes during cell division by facilitating positive DNA supercoiling and knotting by topoisomerase I and II and proper segregation of sister chromatids. CAP-G2 is a non-SMC regulatory subunit of the condensin complex.
