- Candida albicans Reacts with 10 strains of C. albican, C. parapsillosis, C. glabrata & C. tropicales, but does not react with C. krusei. In order to obtain optimum sensitivity the specimen must first be extracted with 0.4 M Sodium Hydroxide. Does not cross react with Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus terreus, Coccidioides, Histoplasma, Blastomyces, Paracoccidioides, Penicillium notatum, Mucor, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Pichia pastoris.
