Background: Essential PPIase that regulates mitosis presumably byinteracting with NIMA and attenuating its mitosis-promotingactivity. Displays a preference for an acidic residue N-terminal tothe isomerized proline bond. Catalyzes pSer/Thr-Pro cis/transisomerizations. Down-regulates kinase activity of BTK. Cantransactivate multiple oncogenes and induce centrosomeamplification, chromosome instability and cell transformation.Required for the efficient dephosphorylation and recycling of RAF1after mitogen activation.
