This antibody recognizes an epitope within the cysteine rich region (amino acids 140-301) of the extracellular domain of the human insulin receptor alpha.
Application Notes original Clone: This antibody forms a stable complex with the L1-CR fragment of the human insulin receptor alpha-subunit. Consequently, this antibody can be used to facilitate the crystallization of the complex, and the establishment of its structure (McKern et al, 2006).
