Netrin-1 promotes atherosclerosis by retaining macrophages in the artery wall. Netrin-1 also governs induced pluripotent stem cell (iPS) formation and improves reprogramming efficiency of human and mouse somatic cells by limiting apoptosis mediated by Netrin-1 receptors DCC or UNC5b.
