- KBRS1 or NKIRAS1is a protein that acts as a potent regulator of NF-kB activity by preventing degradation of NF-kB inhibitor beta (NFKBIB). KBRS1 acts by blocking phosphorylation of NFKBIB and thereby mediating cytoplasmic retention of p65/RELA NF-kB subunit.
