Background: Cell wall protein regularly arranged in interwoven fascicules of clustered proteinaceous microfibrils, or rodlets, to form the outer spore coat protein. It is involved in resistance to environmental stress and may well be associated with conidial hydrophobicity. It is important in the morphogenesis of the dispersible conidia.
