- Recognizes human Bone Morphogenetic Protein 9. Does not cross react with recombinant human BMP-1, -1.1, -2, -3, -3b, -4, -5, -6, -7, -8 or -10. In direct ELISAs, ~80 % cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse BMP-9 and 10 % cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse BMP-10 is observed.

Usage: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Neutralization. Western Blot: 1-2 μg/mL, The detection limit is ~5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions. Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0 μg/mL, The detection limit is ~5 ng/well. Neutralization of human BMP-9 bioactivity: The ND50 is defined as the concentration of antibody required to yield one-half maximal inhibition of the cytokine activity on a responsive cell line, when the cytokine is present at a concentration just high enough to elicit maximum response. The ND50 of this lot is ~0.01-0.04 μg/mL in the presence of 2 ng/mL rhBMP-9 using ATDC5 chondrogenic cells. -
