Neutralisation: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity ofhIL-11 (5.0 ng/mL), a concentration of 2.4-3.6 μg/mL is required. ELISA: In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μL/well), a concentration of 8-9 μg/mL will detectat least 0.2 ng/well of recombinant Human IL-11 when used with Biotin anti-Human IL-11antibody (cat. PP1033B) as the detection antibody at a concentration of at least 2 μg/mL. Western Blot: To detect hIL-11 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at aconcentration of 1.0-2.0 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagentsthe detection limit for recombinant hIL-11 is 0.25-0.50 ng/lane, under non-reducingconditions.
Other applications not tested.

背景
- Interleukin 11 is a pleiotropic cytokine produced by mesenchymal-derived adherent cells. IL11 shares many functions of IL6 and LIF, including potentiation of megakaryocyte activity, enhancement of human myeloma cell proliferation, and enhancement of hepatic acute phase protein production. Interleukin 11 directly stimulates the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and megakaryocyte progenitor cells, and induces megakaryocyte maturation resulting in increased platelet production. Clinically it is used to prevent severe thrombocytopenia and the reduction of the need for platelet transfusion following myelosuppressive chemotherapy.Synonyms: AGIF, Adipogenesis inhibitory factor, IL-11
