背景
- Transmembrane protein 2(TMEM2) is a 1,381-amino acid protein which contains at least one transmembrane domain and shares approximately 80% sequence identity with the mouse ortholog. It is expressed in the cochlea. It has been shown that mutations in TMEM2 cause hearing loss.
