Findings define HNRNPAB as an activator of EMT and metastasis in HCC that predicts poor clinical outcomes.
physical association of p63alpha and ABBP1 led to a specific shift of FGFR-2 alternative splicing toward the K-SAM isoform essential for epithelial differentiation
We suggest that CBF-A plays an important role in spermatogenesis by regulating stage-specific translation of testicular mRNAs.
Hnrpab(-/-) neural stem and progenitor cells undergo altered differentiation patterns in culture, and mature Hnrpab(-/-) neurons demonstrate increased sensitivity to glutamate-induced excitotoxicity
Expressing Hnrpab into two different cell lines, their growth was suppressed, demonstrating that this protein has cytostatic activity.
Although CRP2 expression during development is independent of CArG box, its expression in adult vascular smooth muscle requires CArG2 within intron 1 and might be mediated by myocardin factors.

role of S-nitrosylation in osteopontin transcription regulation in macrophages
Results associate 40 LoVe, an hnRNP D protein, with mRNA localization and suggest a role in several functions mediated by this important protein family.
40LoVe binds to Vg1 mRNA in the nucleus and remains with the RNA in the cytoplasm.
study demonstrated that porcine CArG binding factor A (CBF-A) may play a role in regulating at least two pituitary hormone genes, growth hormone and prolactin
This gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are produced by RNA polymerase II and are components of the heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) complexes. They are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene, which binds to one of the components of the multiprotein editosome complex, has two repeats of quasi-RRM (RNA recognition motif) domains that bind to RNAs. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
